What does a consultation actually look like?
A focused conversation about your editorial challenge — a stuck launch, a flat narrative, an unclear brief. We leave you with a written summary and next steps, even if we never work together again.
Do you take on long-term retainers?
Sometimes, when the fit is right and the work has room to breathe. We prefer engagements measured in months, not weeks, and we'll be honest about whether that's what you need.
Can I pitch a guest essay or series?
Absolutely. Send a short note about the idea, where it lives in your head, and why now. We commission roughly one in five pitches and reply to every one.
Where is the studio based, and do you work remotely?
Our studio sits in a quiet corner of Lisbon, but our collaborators span nine time zones. Most of our work happens in writing, async threads, and the occasional long video call.
The studio, in a few details
Qualitygp is a small editorial practice — three editors, a researcher, and a network of writers we trust. We don't do volume. We do work we'd put our names beside, for clients who care about that distinction.
Office hours run 09:00–18:00 WET. Messages received outside those hours are read first thing the next morning. Replies usually arrive within one working day, almost always within two.
